Sheffield Steiner Centre
Sheffield Steiner Centre is dedicated to promoting the ideas and ideals of Rudolf Steiner who developed the ability to research into the spiritual world with a clear scientific consciousness.
As a result he was able to address questions meaningful to us all such as:
“What happens after death?”
“Is there life before birth?”
“Do Angels exist?”
“How has human consciousness developed over history?”
“What is the significance of religions?”
“Is there meaning and purpose in life?”
and “What does the future hold for humanity as a whole?”
His enormous body of research is contained in over 6,000 delivered lectures and over 30 books and is known as Spiritual Science or Anthroposophy.
The Sheffield Steiner Centre runs a number of introductory events about his work and ideas, as well as introductory courses on his ideas. Sheffield Steiner Group
Sheffield Steiner Group (SSG) is a community of people who have a common interest in the investigations into the spiritual nature of human beings and the wider universe undertaken by Rudolf Steiner about 100 years ago.
These discoveries can radically change our view of both evolution and the meaning and purpose of our own lives; helping us to understand our day to day lives better. They have also led to many practical initiatives in education, farming, medicine, banking and social care worldwide. Approximately 10,000 institutions worldwide do work based on the ideas of Rudolf Steiner.
Sheffield Steiner Centre runs many regular groups and events for those interested, including study groups, talks, walks, festival gatherings and social meetings. Anyone is welcome to come along to any event; there is no obligation to believe or do anything. Every idea is accepted, rejected or just held as a possibility – in freedom – even if that freedom calls people to different paths.
The Centre is funded by the charity Tintagel House (Sheffield) Ltd, who own this website and who between 1960 and 2005 ran the Merlin Theatre & Tintagel House site just around the corner
