Introductory reading group – Rudolf Steiner in his own words

October 1 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

If you have never read any of his work before, reading Rudolf Steiner can be difficult and off-putting. This is because the concepts are almost all new, as also is some of the language necessary to convey his ideas. It sometimes feels like the actual way we think has to change – from purely logically to (still) logically but with an artistic, mobile element. However, many people find that, with perseverance, there is no more reliable way to discover meaning and purpose in your own life as well as in everyone else’s – and a reason for what is humanity’s task today. This reading group is an ideal opportunity for those seeking an introduction to Rudolf Steiner’s ideas from the author himself.

“Founding a Science of the Spirit” is a record of a series of 14 lectures given by him in Stuttgart in 1906 on many of the key concepts in Anthroposophy.
The usual format is to read, discuss and ask any questions that arise in a friendly and supportive environment. No question is unwelcome and it’s fine to just listen if you’d rather do that.
You can attend the whole course or just one evening for free. Donations towards heating, tea and coffee costs welcome.
The reading group continues each Thursday evening from 7:30pm-8:45pm up to the week before Christmas and will continue after Christmas depending on need.
